Weston’s MP, John Penrose has welcomed a Government grant worth almost £40,000 for The For All Healthy Living Company CIC on Weston’s Bournville Estate.
The money comes as part of the Community Organisations Cost of Living Fund, which has been set up by the Government to support community organisations who are helping people through the rising cost of living.
John said: “I get to see the great work that The Healthy Living Centre do on a very regular basis, as it’s one of the locations I hold my surgeries. Their team clearly care a great deal about the local people who use their cafe, church, community hall, allotment, children’s centre, health centre, library, social groups, and everything else – it’s actually amazing just how much they do. This grant is very well deserved and will help them continue this work. As much as ever, the HLC is a vital part of our community.”
