Ahead of their planned exhibition at Weston Museum, John explains why he is such a fan of Weston’s Multi-Cultural Friendship Association:
“Weston has a long and valued tradition of making visitors feel welcome and included, no matter whether they’re arriving from Birmingham or Bangladesh. Hospitality is central to who and what we are, and the multi-cultural friendship association is an important part of our warm Weston welcome. Whether it’s a friendly face, or advice on how to get on your feet and find your way in an unfamiliar new place, their work creates communities where people know and value their neighbours, rather than just living alongside them. If they didn’t exist already we’d want to create them, and you can’t say better than that!”
