Weston-super-Mare Jobs Fair Returns!

Weston-super-Mare’s Jobs Fair organised by MP John Penrose is back for its sixth year, with over 50 local and national employers looking to fill hundreds of local jobs.

The event takes place on the 10th March 2020 at the Winter Gardens between 10.30am and 2.00pm, and is free to attend with no pre-event registration required.

Businesses looking to fill vacancies include: Brandon Trust, ICTS Security Services, Notaro Home Care, Smart Systems (all sponsors) plus The Ministry of Defence, Thatcher’s Cider, GBRS Construction, Priory Learning Trust, The Army, EDF Energy, Barclays, Tesco, Weston College and many more too!

John Penrose said: “I continue to hear from people who found their ideal job having attended one of our Jobs Fairs and we get e-mails throughout the year from recruiters asking when the next one is as they’ve found them so useful. The fair provides a friendly atmosphere where people looking for a new job or career change can come along and talk to organisations actively recruiting about the roles they have available. It’s not unusual for us to hear that people have come along to the jobs fair unemployed or unfulfilled with their current employment and then been offered a job a few days later. So why not visit on March 10th and chat with some of Weston’s excellent local employers about the opportunities they have available?”

Sponsors Smart said: “Supporting our local community through employment has always been important for Smart, that’s why the WSM Job Fair is such an essential event. It provides a platform that connects businesses with local people who are looking for a new job or career change. We are pleased to be able to sponsor the event this year and help to make it a success for the local area.”

Sponsors Notaro Home Care said: “As North Somerset’s chosen provider, we are delighted to be sponsoring the jobs fair.  We are keen to meet friendly, empathetic and kind-hearted individuals with a passion for making a difference. Due to recent growth in the local area, we have a variety of new vacancies available and we look forward to meeting you and telling you more about working for Notaro Home Care.”

Job hunters will also be able to get career and interview advice from local organisations such as Jobcentre Plus, as well as learn about apprenticeships and courses from Weston College.

This year there is also an active Facebook Events Page. Simply search ‘Weston Jobs Fair 2020’ and click ‘Interested’ to get updates about the event and from organisations attending.
