Prime Minister Theresa May has handed Weston-super-Mare MP John Penrose a role in Government.
Mr Penrose has been appointed minister of state for the Northern Ireland office.
The 54-year-old has been Weston’s MP for the past 13 years, ever since the Conservatives regained the seat from the Liberal Democrats.
He has held a number of posts in the past including a role within the Department for Culture, Media and Sport in the run up to the London Olympics in 2012.
He has also been the anti-corruption champion in recent times.
