Weston’s MP Visits Growing Leisure Facility

Weston’s MP John Penrose visited Hutton Moor Leisure Centre managed by Legacy Leisure on behalf of North Somerset Council  to see their expansion plans take shape.

The newly-expanded Centre will offer a brand new 155 station gym plus two fitness studios for functional training, new cycle workout studio and Sway dance studio. The Centre will also be offering Les Mills virtual classes to compliment their ever growing instructor led group fitness classes.

In addition, two of the existing outside tennis courts will be completely replaced and three new five-a-side all-weather 3G pitches with the latest sustainable cork infill.

The fitness development will be open for use from Monday 18th September, and will cater for the growing number of people in Weston who are staying active through sport and exercise.

John said: “Keeping active is important. Whether you’re someone who pounds treadmills and lifts huge weights in the gym, or simply enjoys a gentle game of tennis or football, or a dance class with your friends, this expansion of Hutton Moor means more of us can keep active by doing something they enjoy.”

Dave Somers Manager of Hutton Moor, said: “” This development will be the biggest improvement since 1992 and is much needed. We are really excited to be able to provide the local community with the new facilities, which include some of the most innovative training equipment to meet current fitness trends”
