MEMBERS of Parliament often promise much then, once elected, fail to deliver. So it’s good to report a case where an MP has done what he said he’d do.
Step forward, Weston-super-Mare Tory MP John Penrose. He launched a Cleaner Weston Campaign to tackle problems caused by the town’s unregistered drug rehabilitation centres.
And it’s worked. The problem has, effectively, been halved in six years, which is a truly impressive result.
