A charity fancy dress walk is being held in Weston-super-Mare to raise money for a new scanner at the town's hospital.
The walk is on December 3, starting at noon from the Grand Pier and will be opened by Weston-super-Mare MP John Penrose. Entry is £5 for adults, £2.50 for children and £12.50 for a family and free for children under two.
There will be prizes, donated by BMI Airlines, for the best adult fancy dress plus prizes for the best children's costume.
Weston's MP said he is delighted that this walk is being held to raise money for the new scanner, that the group he presides over, Weston Hospital's League Of Friends, launched earlier this year.
